Activities on Lake Champlain in Vermont

fishingDuring your time at Ruthcliffe, take advantage of a wide array of activities. Enjoy swimming, boating, canoeing, fishing, cycling, and nearby golf. Stroll along the shores of the lake or simply relax in perfectly positioned Adirondack chairs and take in the sun.

Nearby attractions include local marble quarries, apple orchards, state parks, antiquing, crafts, and shopping. Visit St. Anne's Shrine, the Missiquoi Wildlife refuge, and Vermont's largest state-of-the-art fish hatchery. Take a seaplane ride or tour a winery. Take in the Chazian reef, one of the oldest coral reefs in the world! Trace Isle La Motte's history back to French roots. Or, explore off the island conveniently with nearby ferry crossings.

The exciting city of Montreal is but one hour away. Enjoy exciting night life and special events such as the international Jazz Festival, comedy festival, and the Montreal Grand Prix to name a few.

But remember, the best activity is no activity at all. Many of our guests are happy to simply relax lakeside during their weekend getaway.
